Farmer Wants a Wife is in full swing, and sparks are flying all over the place as we get settled in for a season of (hopefully) long-lasting love connections.
This season, we’re following Farmer Ben, 27, from Wingham, NSW, Farmer Harry, 24, from Kyabram, VIC, Farmer Will, 26, from Berriwillock, VIC, Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW, and Farmer Paige — the show’s first female farmer — who’s 28 and from Cassilis, NSW.
One of the women who’s hoping to find love with Farmer Benjamin this season is Lyndsay, a 36-year-old music teacher from NSW.
With a “why not?” approach to dating on reality television, Lyndsay said that she applied because she believes “that there’s always a chance if you put yourself out there”.
In a press statement, she explained: “I haven’t found my partner in crime on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, so I figure I’d better go exploring.”
While the realities of farm living can be confronting to some, Lyndsay was excited at the prospect of it.
“I would love to get amongst it on the farm,” she said. “I want to learn and have an active role in the business. Not much fazes me, I’ll take on most challenges.”

Lyndsay chose Farmer Benjamin because after watching his video, she loved “that he is both intelligent and musical”.
“Benjamin would be a lot of fun and at the same time, is a deep thinker,” she mused, adding: “I love his sense of adventure and humour. He seems nuts, just like me.”
When it comes to love and relationships, Lyndsay said that she has “a lot of love in [her] life”, but she’s looking for a romantic partner to share her life with.
“I love hard and I love fast,” she said. “What I’m really looking for is a new adventure and a partner to share that with.”
As for how Farmer Benjamin could win her over, Lyndsay said that it’s important to her that her partner “spends the time to get to know [her] family and accepts them as their own”.
Will it be love for Lyndsay and Farmer Benjamin? Only time will tell. Until then…
Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.00pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
