Farmer Wants a Wife: Meet Jess, Who’s Hoping to Win Over Farmer Will

Farmer Wants a Wife is in full swing, and sparks are flying all over the place as we get settled in for a season of (hopefully) long-lasting love connections.

This season, we’re following Farmer Ben, 27, from Wingham, NSW, Farmer Harry, 24, from Kyabram, VIC, Farmer Will, 26, from Berriwillock, VIC, Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW, and Farmer Paige — the show’s first female farmer — who’s 28 and from Cassilis, NSW.

One of the women trying to win Farmer Will’s heart is Jess, a 25-year-old dental nurse from Queensland.

After having her heart broken “recently”, Jess found herself ready for a new adventure, and she’s hoping that Farmer Wants a Wife will be just the thing she needs.

“I’m ready to throw myself into something uncomfortable to find myself a little more and most importantly, find love,” she said in a press statement.

Even better, Jess grew up on a farm, so we shouldn’t expect any Simple Life-esque freak outs about the realities of country living from her!

“My parents own an 800-acre property which I often visit and help out taking horses for rides,” she explained. “I would love to give my children the same kind of farming and country life that I had.”

Jess chose Farmer Will because, well, she “thought he was pretty good looking”.

“He has nice dark features, which my nonna would approve of,” she added.

But it’s not just his looks that drew her in, of course.

“I haven’t even met him yet, but I can just tell by watching his video, we would vibe and have a good time,” she added. “I’m bubbly, I’m up for trying new things and I love my sisters just like he does.”

When it comes to love and relationships, Jess values “good support, loyalty and communications” highly, but she’s not one to seek out grand gestures.

“When it comes to romantic gestures, keeping it simple is key with me,” she said. “Just a little picnic somewhere with a nice view, my favourite foods and a cold beer.”

She added: “I’ve been in the wrong relationships in the past and am ready to find a nice guy.”

Will Farmer Will be the nice guy of Jess’ dreams? Well, only time will tell. Until then…

Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.00pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
