However, Ant Middleton wasn’t born on Million Dollar Island. Channel 7 didn’t grow him in a lab for this series. Middleton is a 42-year-old man who signed up for this gig.
According to Middleton, he signed up for this series ‘cause he loved the premise.
“Having 100 people living together in extreme conditions on a deserted island is fascinating. That’s what really sets this show apart from others,” Middleton said in a press statement.
“Plus, you’ll see a different side of me as I open up as a personal mentor to the players to guide them on their journey so they not only survive, but thrive under the island’s extreme conditions.”

Who Is Ant Middleton?
Ant Middleton is a British TV personality and ex-marine. He served in UK Special Forces, Royal Marines Commando, and the British Army.
However, Middleton is best known for being a Chief Instructor for SAS: Who Dares Wins. On this series, he brought his contestants through a plethora of gruelling tasks.
Is Ant Middleton Married?
Yup, Ant Middleton’s married. He has been married to Emilie Middleton since 2006. They met in 2004 at the Essex bar that Emilie was working for.
Ant and Emilie have five children: Bligh, Gabriel, Oakley, Shyla, and Priseis.
Has Ant Middleton Written Any Books?
Ant Middleton has written many books. He’s written nonfiction works, such as Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces. He also wrote a fiction series called The Mindset Trilogy.
Ant Middleton Controversies
In 2020, Ant Middleton called the Black Lives Matter movement “scum.” He also called people who followed governmental COVID advice “sheep.”
These two remarks got him fired from the British version of SAS: Who Dares Wins. As of 2022, he still hosts SAS Australia.
In response to this situation, Middleton said that he was “anti-racist and anti-violence.” He also said he had been “sheltered” from the true realities of the COVID pandemic.
