Million Dollar Island is here, and we’re loving the chaos so far. Not only have we already said farewell to multiple contestants just one week into the game, but everything about it is heightened. There are more players, a bigger prize, fewer rations to go around. Hosted by Ant Middleton, the show has so many new faces it can be hard to keep track. So, it’s time to get to know the key Million Dollar Island cast members who’ve caught our eye as ones to watch.

Million Dollar Island Cast: Meet Yasmine Lintvelt

Yasmine Lintvelt is a 31-year-old chiropractor from South Australia, but she’s not your average professional. With her diverse range of talents and a wicked sense of humour, Yasmine is all about bringing her unique and vibrant energy to everything she does.

Outside of her work, Yasmine is an outdoorsy kind of gal. She enjoys hiking, walking her beloved dogs, and even poi twirling, although she humbly admits there’s room for improvement. In her downtime, you’ll find her with her nose in a good book.

Yasmin recently tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, and they added a memorable personal touch to the occasion. As her bridesmaids gracefully glided down the aisle, the iconic “Imperial March” (you know, Darth Vader’s theme?) from Star Wars resonated through the air. They kept the laughs going through the celebration as environmentally friendly confetti — shaped as male genitalia, no less — rained down on the newlyweds.

While Yasmine’s primary profession is chiropractic care, she has explored various other avenues throughout her journey. With an adventurous spirit, she delved into personal training and even tried her hand at modelling. Her accomplishments include being a national finalist for Miss World Australia, a state finalist for Miss Universe Australia, and achieving a spot in the top 10 for Miss Earth Australia in 2019.

Yasmine’s Instagram

With nearly 12,000 followers, Yasmine has built quite the following for herself on Instagram. She loves a good gym selfie and is passionate about health and fitness, and of course, who can resist a good OOTD (outfit of the day) snap?

She’s also passionate about the environment, animals, and maintains a vegan diet.

As someone who has both endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Yasmine uses her platform to speak about how these diseases impact both her and anyone who suffers from them. She also speaks about what exercises she does in order to maintain her strength and manage her symptoms.

How Yasmine Would Spend Her Million Dollar Island Money

Yasmine applied for Million Dollar Island as a leap of faith, and of course, the possibility of winning a share of the life-changing million dollar prize doesn’t hurt, either.

If she emerges victorious, Yasmine has ambitious plans for the prize money. Her foremost goal is to invest in Animal Biomechanical Medicine (ABM). The money would enable her to dedicate her time and expertise to helping domestic and rescue animals as unpaid work. Additionally, she dreams of using the funds to provide a loving home for herself, her husband, and their four cherished fur babies.

Of course, she has to make it to the end first. Will Yasmine’s quest to crack the finale be successful, or will she be ousted by the stiff competition? Only time will tell.

Million Dollar Island airs at 7.30pm Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus. Miss an episode? Catch up on 7 Plus.
