Farmer Wants a Wife is in full swing, and sparks are flying all over the place as we get settled in for a season of (hopefully) long-lasting love connections.
This season, we’re following Farmer Ben, 27, from Wingham, NSW, Farmer Harry, 24, from Kyabram, VIC, Farmer Will, 26, from Berriwillock, VIC, Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW, and Farmer Paige — the show’s first female farmer — who’s 28 and from Cassilis, NSW.
One of the women vying for Farmer Ben’s heart is Lauren, a 24-year-old vet nurse from Victoria.
Lauren applied for Farmer Wants a Wife because she wants to find her “life partner” and dating apps just aren’t doing the trick.
“I’ve realised conventional ways of finding love haven’t worked for me, so I am taking a risk to hopefully find a genuine connection,” she said in a press statement.
“A life on the farm sounds like early mornings, hard work, beautiful sunsets and a whole lot of fun in between,” Lauren said. “Also, I grew up on a dairy farm and am not afraid to get my hands dirty.”

As soon as Lauren saw Farmer Ben’s profile, she knew he was the farmer for her, the one she had to apply for.
“From what I’ve seen of Ben, he has all the qualities I look for in a partner,” she said.
Describing herself as “a hopeless romantic at heart”, Lauren said that she feels “like life is better spent with someone you love”
As for how to win her over, Lauren said that “back rubs are the way to [her] heart”.
When it comes to her past relationships, Lauren said that she felt like she’d become “complacent” when things felt really secure”, so she’s hoping to have learned from that as she goes into Farmer Wants a Wife.
Will sparks fly between Lauren and Farmer Ben? Only time will tell. Until then…
Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.00pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
