‘The Real Love Boat’: Can Chris Come Out of His Shell to Find Love?

real love boat 2022 chris

If you love love, sexy singles and glamorous European destinations, boy, does 10 have a show for you!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and to be honest, we’re into it!

The Real Love Boat takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see our contestants travel the seas — visiting picturesque locations in SpainGreece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro along the way — as they search for a lasting love match.

One of our singles hoping to make a love boat connection that puts Jack and Rose to shame is 29-year-old Chris Antos from Canberra.

Per a press statement form 10, Antos describes himself as fun, hardworking, cheeky, flirty and caring. Now, he’s at that point in life where he feels ready to meet the right one, settle down, make a real commitment.

A self-admitted sometimes-workaholic, Antos is a director of his real estate agency, and suspects his commitment to work was one of the contributing factors to the demise of his last relationship.

On the other hand, that hard work has certainly paid off — Antos is a homeowner (in this economy!), and as a bonus, he has a gorgeous dog, too!

While Antos is openly bisexual, he has found it difficult to put himself out there on the dating scene, for fear that his potential partner wouldn’t accept him for who he is.

By joining The Real Love Boat, Antos is hoping to shake things up as he steps out of his comfort zone and is prompted to put himself out there.

Aboard the Regal Princess, Antos is hoping to find “someone who shares [his] passion for travel”, who can help him evolve into the best version of himself as they enjoy their days together.

One “weird and quirky” trait that Antos hopes won’t make his potential love jump ship, though?

“I sleep with socks on about 90% of the year,” he said.

If his potential partner can overlook this, though, there’s plenty in store for them as they navigate romance back on solid ground.

“I would love to take my partner on a dream date in Sydney,” he said. “I would arrive in a limo to come and pick them up for lunch, with chilled champagne waiting for us in the back. We would go to a beautiful French restaurant, such as Hubert or Felix. Following that we could go for some refreshing cocktails in Barangaroo and finish the date at Gordon’s Bay to watch the sunset and end the day with a kiss.”

Hosted by Darren McMullen, The Real Love Boat also features Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier — who Bravo heads will recognise from Below Deck Mediterranean — as well as Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo Arrigo.

Will any of our singles find love and never let go? Or will it be a titanic disaster? Only time will tell.

The Real Love Boat airs at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
