Move over, Bachelors, because Network Ten is launching a brand new reality dating series: The Real Love Boat.
Based on the premise of the scripted rom-com series that premiered way back in the ’70s, The Real Love Boat takes sets sail with 21 sexy singles aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, all hoping to find a love connection worthy of sharing a door with.
The boat will cruise across the waters of Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro, but with challenges designed to test the love connections of those aboard, we’re sure it will be anything but smooth sailing.
Joining our singles for this journey toward love are host Darren McMullen, Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier — who you’ll recognise from Below Deck Mediterranean — Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo Arrigo.
Best described as “Love Island on a boat”, The Real Love Boat has our singles couple up to spend more time together. With new singles joining the boat, and recoupling ceremonies happening regularly, though, we’re sure there’s plenty of drama in store for us, the viewers.
From the trailer alone, we can see tears and shocks, and bromances crumbling under the weight of betrayals. Of course, it’s not all drama. It also looks like we’re set to see some sparks fly, as our contestants embark on cute dates set against the backdrop of some of the world’s most romantic locations.
However, only one couple will make it to the final port and win the series, so the stakes are high.

The fun kicks off on Wednesday, October 5, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
