‘The Real Love Boat’: Will Mikaila Meet Her Perfect Match?

mikaila real love boat 2022

If you love love, if you love sexy singles, if you love glamorous European destinations, boy, does 10 have a show for you.

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and to be honest, we’re into it.

The Real Love Boat takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see our contestants travel the seas — visiting picturesque locations in SpainGreece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro along the way — as they search for a lasting love match.

One of the ladies looking for love aboard the Regal Princess this year is 23-year-old Mikaila Norman from Queensland.

In a press statement, Norman said that she applied for The Real Love Boat “to meet the one”, and is very keen on the idea of finding that person in the wild, rather than “on any dating apps”.

“The Mediterranean fits my adventurous nature and I am always up for doing things outside of my comfort zone,” she said.

Describing herself as “independent, driven, adventurous, loyal and kind”, Norman is hoping to find someone who complements her best qualities perfectly.

“The best feeling in the world is to be able to give your heart and feel you have theirs,” she said. “It’s the rush of butterflies when you see them, the excitement for the future. Everything feels better when you say those words, I love you.”

“There is nothing I can’t really do if I put my mind to it!” she said. “I will keep the man on his toes. I’m smart, ambitious, a go-getter, fit, love to have fun, and am independent.”

On the other hand, Norman did admit that she “can be quite outspoken”, which she’s hoping isn’t an off-putting quality for any of her potential suitors. Still, with high standards for herself, Norman will absolutely not be putting up with “any foolishness” when it comes to her relationship.

Hosted by Darren McMullen, The Real Love Boat also features Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier — who Bravo heads will recognise from Below Deck Mediterranean — as well as Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo Arrigo.

Will any of our singles find love and never let go? Or will it be a titanic disaster? Only time will tell.

The Real Love Boat airs at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
