Well, folks, The Bachelors‘ summer of love is finally here and, this season, things are going to be different.
Past seasons of The Bachelor Australia have featured helicopter dates over Sydney’s picturesque harbours, where our Bachelor would woo his date for the day. Then, they’d head back to the candle-lit mansion, dripping in fairy lights, for an elaborate Rose Ceremony where, each week, he’d whittle down the women vying for his affection one by one.
This season, all of that is changing.
First, and perhaps most importantly, there are three Bachelors — Jed McIntosh, Felix Von Hofe, and Thomas Malucelli — looking for love this year and, if the promos are anything to go by, at least one of them will pop the question by the end of the series.
Secondly, the show has relocated to Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast. The girls are residing in a waterfront mansion, but there’s not a twinkling light or candle in sight, promising a sleeker, more modern version of The Bachelors than we’ve seen in past seasons.
Finally, the promos show a more dynamic, less linear path to love for both our Bachelors and the girls in the mansion. As we’ve seen, there are girls who reject our Bachies, and some who may be keen to switch Bachelors along the way.
All in all, it’s set to be an exciting season and, with the first promos introducing the women vying for our Bachelors’ hearts dropping, it’s time to get to know them.
One of the women vying for Jed’s heart on The Bachelors Australia this year is 31-year-old Tash from Victoria.

“I’m here for Jed, and I always win,” announces Tash in a promo shared by 10. “I have a strategy to get the other girls sent home.”
We then see Tash plant a kiss on Jed, mid-cocktail party, in front of all the other women vying for his affections. Scandal!
“These girls have just gotta go,” Tash says in the clip.
“Sorry!” she adds, with a laugh.
The other women, perhaps unsurprisingly, are shocked — but Tash remains undeterred.
“Oh, I am the finale,” Tash declares. “I am THE finale!”
When Tash told her parents that she was going to be appearing on The Bachelors Australia, they were “really happy” for her and count her “lucky” to be a contestant on a show “that could potentially lead to true love”.
In a press statement, Tash said: “They believe that this show does work and they believe in the process involved and obviously they believe in me because I make things happen.”
Tash’s own parents are childhood sweethearts whose love has stood the test of time and it’s that kind of love that Tash is hoping to find on The Bachelors Australia.
Asked to compare her love life to a romantic comedy, there was one obvious answer:
“Must Love Dogs,” Tash said, “because they must love dogs, and me of course!”
Indeed, Tash is a dog mum of two chihuahuas, Noah and Sophie, so let’s hope Jed is a dog lover!
Tash is an optimist who loves to learn from life’s experiences and believes that when she’s in love, everything else falls into place.
As for what she’s bringing to a relationship, Tash said “cleaning and cooking services”.
“Being Italian I was born with a broom in one hand and wooden spoon in the other,” she joked, adding: “No, I have a lot to give, I just want to make sure it’s for the right person this time round.”
Will Jed be the right guy for Tash? Only time will tell. Until then…
The Bachelors Australia premieres on January 9, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
