Australian Survivor. The Summit. Million Dollar Island. These days, it feels like there’s a new reality competition series dropping every other week, but you know what? We love it, we can’t get enough, and we’re not complaining! And while Million Dollar Island may still be in full swing over on Seven, Nine is back to snatch our attention with Rush Australia. Hosted by David Genat, the series promises adventure, travel and a healthy dose of aspirational living. But first? We need to meet the everyday Aussies who make up the Rush Australia 2023 cast.
Chatting to The Latch ahead of the show’s July premiere, David Genat said that part of the beauty of the upcoming series is in the show’s great, “relatable” cast.
“We’ve got a great cast, and casting is everything,” Genat said. “It’s a really diverse cast, they’re all super interesting in their own way,” Genat said. “People will be going, ‘that would be me if I had to go to Carnivale in Brazil and make my way through the country’,” he said.
Rush Australia deprives its cast of all sight and sound, right up until the moment they’re dropped into some of the world’s busiest, most exotic locations around the world. Split into three teams — Team Gold, Team Navy, and Team Scarlet — the aim of the game is to be the first team to meet Genat at the Escape Zone and head on to the next location. The last team to arrive, however, will be forced to eliminate one of their members.

Of course, there can only be one winner, and that lucky person will receive $100,000, as well as two first class, around-the-world tickets. I guess you could call the prize… Rush money.
Without further ado, let’s meet the teams.
