Farmer Wants a Wife is a series that creates relationships that last. Across the globe, 206 Farmer Wants a Wife couples have gotten married, and 10 of these weddings took place in Australia. Likewise, 516 Farmer Wants a Wife babies have been born, including 27 little Aussies. But while these statistics are impressive, not every contestant can be a winner. On each season of Farmer Wants a Wife, a bunch of contestants are sent home.

In Australia’s 2024 season of Farmer Wants a Wife, five different farmers meet a tailored list of city girls. These farmers then handpick a group of these contestants to stay on their various properties. There are more girls than there are open spots, meaning some constants are sent home before their adventure begins.

Additionally, once the remaining contestants reach their respective farms, they can’t relax. Over the course of this show, each farmer eliminates their prospective lovers until there’s only one left. Each farmer then hopes that their selected partner can be someone they can build a relationship with.

There’s no doubt that this premise is going to create plenty of heartbreaks and dramatic goodbyes. Despite being a predominantly wholesome show, not every moment on Farmer Wants a Wife is smooth sailing.
