No, Rush isn’t a series that details children procrastinating their homework, melting down, and then speedrunning their times tables. It is instead a globe-trotting, reality TV adventure competition that takes its contestants around the planet.
In Rush, three teams are dropped into the heart of Earth’s most enthralling cultural festivals and interesting locations. The twist? Our contestants will have no idea where they are, but the race will be on to make it to the Escape Zone. The last team to make it to the Escape Zone will need to eliminate one of their members.
At the end of Rush, there will be only one victor. This person will win a life-changing prize of $100,000.

Who Is Rush’s Host?
The host of Rush is David Genat. This dude is a model best known for starring on two seasons of Australian Survivor. The first season David went on was Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders 2. David then went back for Australian Survivor: All Stars, where he won $500,000.
In 2020, David appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice to raise money for the Garvan Institute. This institute studies how to treat illnesses and diseases.
Who Are the Rush Contestants?
Rush contestants are a bunch of everyday Aussies, who are split into three teams — Team Gold, Team Navy, and Team Scarlet.
On Team Gold we have:
- CK, 28, VIC
- Lola, 25, QLD
- Priscilla, 38, QLD
- Saxon, 32, QLD
On Team Navy:
- Madeline, 33, NSW
- Sofia, 26, ACT
- Tommy, 46, VIC
- Tylen, 21, QLD
And on Team Scarlet:
- Adam, 22, NSW
- Fiona, 57, WA
- Hamish, 29, SA
- Najmah, 26, VIC
