It’s back, baby! That’s right, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is back for Season 9, and as usual, it’s already bringing the laughs and chaos we’ve come to love and expect.
After two seasons of filming in northern New South Wales due to COVID, the borders are open once again, which means I’m a Celeb is back in South Africa, and coming to us live from the jungle.
Hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown are also back, and this season, the premise is simple: make it fun, make it funny, make it a good time for all involved — well, except the celebs, maybe. Having snakes dumped on you or being challenged to ingest a warthog testicle doesn’t sound like much fun to us, to be honest, but look, they knew what they were getting themselves into, right?!
But if you’ve tuned in for all the fun and found yourself thinking “sorry, who is that?” — you’re not alone. Luckily, we’ve got all the goss on who these celebs are, what they’re known for, where you’ve seen them before, and what charity they’re competing for.
One of the celebs who’s made his way to the jungle for the chance to take out the win this season is olympic medalist Harry Garside, who’s competing for the Reach Foundation.

Who Is Harry Garside?
Harry Garside is an Australian boxer who won the men’s lightweight bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His win marked Australia’s first Olympic boxing medal in three decades.
Harry has become an inspiration for many during his time in the spotlight, not only for his boxing skills, but also for breaking gender stereotypes.
Harry’s unique style — including wearing skirts and nail polish — is all about proving that being different is not something to be ashamed of. Instead, he wants everyone to celebrate what makes them unique.
Growing up in the working-class town of Lilydale, Victoria, Harry was the youngest of three boys and had a close relationship with his mother. At the age of nine, he surprised his family by announcing his interest in boxing, and from that moment, he fell in love with the sport.
Harry’s accomplishments in the boxing ring have been significant, but he has also made a name for himself as a role model. Basically? He just wants everyone to be true to themselves.
“There are a lot of people out there who feel like they have to be something because they’re male or female,” Harry said in a press statement. “I’m all about just being different.”
Harry has shown younger generations that it’s important to let your light shine and never back down from being who you are.
What Does the Reach Foundation Do?
The Reach Foundation aims to empower young people by providing them with programs and services related to self-esteem, resilience, leadership, and personal development.
The foundation’s programs include workshops, camps, mentoring, and other initiatives facilitated by trained mentors.
By creating a safe and supportive environment, the Reach Foundation aims to inspire young people to believe in themselves and their abilities. They want to give young people the tools and support they need to create positive change in their lives and their communities.
Why Did Harry Garside Choose the Reach Foundation?
“The Reach Foundation entered my life when I was 16-years-old,” Harry said on the show.
“They came to my school, and a teacher forced me to go to the workshop. It was such a turning point in my life, and I’m really grateful that day happened.
Harry continued: “I think the Reach Foundation gave me emotional intelligence and emotional awareness. If more young people could have Reach, I think the world would be an amazing place.”
