Farmer Wants a Wife Australia is a series that has created many a successful relationship. Over the past 17 years, this show has made 16 long-term couples. Now, 16 might not seem like a big number, but when compared to what some other reality shows have produced, this statistic is mighty impressive.
But who are the farmers and city women who’ve turned their filmed flings into relationships that last? Why have these relationships been successful? Put on your cowboy boots, let’s ride straight into the details.
Farmer Wants a Wife Australia: Who’s Still a Couple?
Farmer Chris and Kim
Back in 2007, Farmer Chris and Kim met on the first-ever season of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia. This resulted in a whirlwind romance where they chose to continue their relationship after the season concluded. What’s more, in an episode of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia’s Season 2, they tied the knot.
Since getting married, Chris and Kim have had two bright children, Corbin and Charlotte. They all happily live on a farm in Tamworth, NSW.
Farmer Rob and Jo
In Season 2, Chris and Kim weren’t the only cast members who had an excellent year. Farmer Rob and Jo met on this show, had a connection, and made a relationship that works.
After choosing each other on Farmer Wants a Wife Australia, Rob and Jo got married in 2010. In tranquil Mount Gambier, South Australia, the couple now raise three kids — Darcy, Maggie, and Roy — together.
Farmer Damian and Rachael
On Season 3, Farmer Damian had an impossible task. He had to swoon a city girl into moving to the extremely remote Caveside, Tasmania. Luckily for him, Rachael was immediately charmed by his rugged but gentleman-like demeanour. The two fell in love, and Rachael moved from the mainland across to Tasmania.
Damian and Rachael married in 2016. All up, they now have three kids: Harvey, Fin, and Mae.
Farmer Brad and Stacie
According to Farmer Brad, he wanted to marry Stacie just after they met. He even had to be convinced by a producer to keep the other Season 4 girls in the running. Luckily, Stacie was reciprocal to Brad’s flirting game, and they paired up at the end of the season.
After just six months of dating, Brad proposed to Stacie. They are now married with a few children. They have three cheeky daughters named Darcie, Bobbie, and Frankie. Brad and his family currently live on his property in Lithgow, NSW.
Farmer Scott and Clare
Another Farmer Wants a Wife Australia couple that’s still making it work is Farmer Scott and Clare. Like Brad and Stacie, Scott and Clare fell in love over the course of 2009’s Season 4. Nine months later, Scott proposed to Clare while they were on a romantic getaway in Brisbane. Naturally, Clare said yes.
In 2011, Scott and Clare got married. As a couple, they live on a farm in Mungindi, NSW, with their two kids, Elsie and Fraser.
Farmer Nathan and Amanda
The finale of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2010 was one for the history books. This is because Farmer Nathan was so in love with Amanda that he took this opportunity to propose.
Over 10 years later, Nathan and Amanda are a happily married couple living in the small country town of Wiluna, Western Australia. Like many other Farmer Wants a Wife Australia couples, they have three children. Nathan and Amanda are the proud parents of Mason, Benjamin, and Oscar.
Farmer Frank and Tenille
While Season 6 of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia was a bust, Season 7 made up for it. Because when Framer Frank met Tenille, they immediately hit it off. At the end of this 2011 season, they agreed to keep seeing each other.
Two years later, Frank and Tenille got married. They are now raising a little boy named Oliver on their farm in Hughenden, Queensland.
Farmer Sam and Jodie
On Farmer Wants a Wife Australia Season 8, Farmer Frank made quite the impression on Jodie. In fact, Jodie was so in love that just months after filming wrapped, she moved from Sydney to Frank’s home in Kununurra, Western Australia.
In 2015, Frank and Jodie had an intimate wedding ceremony. Three years later, they welcomed a little bub named River.
Farmer Nikko and Jade
Another Season 8 couple was the handsome Farmer Nikko and charismatic Jade. Like Jodie, Jade made the move from a big city to live on a farm. The two now live on a large cattle station that’s 120 km from Richmond, Queensland.
Nikko and Jade tied the knot in 2017. They are now raising two boys, Jock and Sandy.
Farmer Andrew and Jess
In Seasons 9 and 10, no Farmer Wants a Wife Australia couple made the distance. However, to restore our humanity, we have Season 11’s Farmer Andrew and Jess.
According to Andrew and Jess, they fell in love so hard that they wanted to quit this show early and start dating. In fact, a producer had to convince them not to leave this series.
On August 7, 2023, Andrew and Jess announced their engagement. Let’s just hope that their wedding takes place sometime soon.
Farmer Harry and Tess
When Farmer Harry and Tess first met, it was obvious that they had a connection. A connection that bloomed over the course of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia’s 2022 season, with the couple choosing each other in its wholesome finale.
Harry and Tess aren’t engaged yet, nor do they have kids. But while this is the case, they are still very much in love and make for an excellent couple.
Farmer Will and Jess
In the same season that Harry and Tess met, Farmer Will and Jess also hit it off. These two had a romance that was beyond cute. The sweet things that they said to each other melted our insides.
After Farmer Wants a Wife finished filming, Tess moved to Harry’s crop and sheep farm in Berriwillock, Victoria. The two are now proud parents of a puppy named Clyde.
Farmer Brad and Clare
In the finale of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia’s 2023 season, Farmer Brad and Clare declared their love for one another.
“I feel as though we just want the same things in life, where we’re cut from the same cloth,” Farmer Brad said. “We want to have a family, and to get married, and, you know, to raise a family on the farm.”
This brought Clare to tears, and they’ve been a couple ever since.
Farmer David and Emily
It was only in the final moments of 2023’s season that Farmer David realised Emily was the right girl for him. Which is very lucky, as their relationship has bloomed into something rather special.
Last year, David and Emily announced that they were having a baby. Once born, this little cutie will be raised on their crop and cattle farm in Cootamundra, NSW.
Farmer Matt and Olivia
In the finale of 2023, Farmer Matt chose Olivia, despite her hesitation to immediately move to his Bookham, NSW, farm to be with him. However, this ended up being for the best, as Matt was offered a job at the Department of Agriculture in Canberra. Because Olivia wasn’t living on his farm, he was able to accept this job with ease.
As of 2024, Matt and Olivia’s relationship is still going strong. Let’s hope that this relationship continues to go from stride to strength.
Farmer Andrew and Claire
When Farmer Andrew realised that he was falling for Claire, he cut his journey on the show short. He sent his remaining ladies home, told Claire how he felt, and thankfully, the feeling was mutual.
On October 2, 2023, Andrew and Claire announced their engagement. May this couple have an incredible wedding.
