This year, Network Ten has been serving up all kinds of new and exciting shows. We’ve said “I could do that” while watching Hunted Australia and The Traitors, and set sail with The Real Love Boat, destination: true love. Now, Ten has given us one last reality competition series to close out the year in The Challenge Australia.
Hosted by Brihony Dawson, The Challenge Australia sees sports legends, influencers and reality TV stars go head to head in a series of intense physical challenges, all while living under the same roof of a very glam villa in Buenos Aires, where the show filmed.
Not only are they competing for the grand prize of $200,000, but the winner will also go on to represent Australia in the first ever The Challenge: Global Championship, where they’ll go up against the winners of The Challenge Argentina, The Challenge USA, and The Challenge UK.
One of the stars competing for the win is Bachelor Nation alum Megan Marx, who has appeared on both The Bachelor Australia and Bachelor in Paradise.

Now, Marx is ready to take on a new challenge, literally, in The Challenge Australia.
Already a big fan of the US version of the show, Marx said in a press statement that although she hoped this knowledge would come in handy, the series’ unpredictable nature meant you could never get too comfortable.
When it comes to the competition, Marx said her biggest strength would be that she’s “a bit of a thrill-seeker and not scared of much,” and that her social game would likely be strong, as well.
“I feel like I’m good at connecting with others on a deeper level,” she added.
On the other hand, Marx’s preparation for the gruelling challenges of the competition involved “cocktails in Bali,” so she may face some problems on that front. To be fair, she did also say that she “upped [her] functional fitness regime.”
If Marx manages to take out the win, she’s planning to use some of the money to help her family out. But on a more personal, splurge kind of level?
“Maybe rent a place in an eco-lodge in the middle of nowhere for a year, read books, drink wine and go hiking,” she mused.
Will she be able to pull off the win? Only time will tell. Until then…
The Challenge Australia airs at 7.30pm on Network Ten on Mondays and Tuesdays. Catch up on 10 Play.
