When it comes to people’s occupations, the job Mermaid Performer very rarely comes up. However, that’s exactly what Tara does for a living, and we couldn’t be more intrigued.
The Beauty And The Geek contestant is a real-life mermaid, and works as a professional entertainer for children’s birthday parties.
She shows up with an impressive tail and leaves kids feeling inspired.

When she’s not dressed up as a mermaid, Tara studies law, which is a field she’s passionate about as she hopes to help people and “make a difference”.
Entering the competition to prove she’s more than just a pretty face, Tara says: “I think the Beauties are smart, fun, bubbly, positive people, and I want to show they can be taken seriously for their intellect and personalities while still caring about their appearance.”
The 22-year-old from Victoria has her fingers crossed for a Geek who respects her and is a decent man — and who knows, maybe sparks will fly!

With her beauty and brains, Tara is a total catch, and whoever she ends up with will definitely appreciate her sense of humour and kind nature.
