Amy’s Passion for Food
Amy has always loved discovering new and interesting places to eat and ingredients to cook with. In fact, it runs in the family — she comes from a close-knit family, and her mum, dad and brother all share her foodie enthusiasm.
For the past six years, Amy has worked in medical administration, but she has also made time to explore her passion for food in her spare time. She has worked in content creation for food brands and has even hosted a pop-up dining experience.
Amy’s Food Heroes
Amy is inspired by many cooking shows and chefs, and will be drawing from everything she’s learned from them during her time on the MasterChef Australia 2023 cast.
Her favourite foodie heroes include Jamie Oliver, Paul West, and English chefs Hasan Semay, Thomas Straker, and Julius Roberts.
She is also a big fan of MasterChef Australia’s Season 13 runner-up, Pete Campbell.
What Amy’s Bringing to MasterChef Australia 2023
In the competition, Amy is hoping to build her food knowledge and improve her skills in the sweet domain. She is confident in her ability to create delicious dishes from minimal ingredients and is excited to show off her culinary skills on the MasterChef stage.
Amy’s love of travel provides her with inspiration in the kitchen, and she is eager to showcase flavours from her recent travels to Turkey and Vietnam.
Beyond that, Amy is passionate about anchovies. In fact, she dreams of one day opening a tin fish wine bar, and creating sustainably made tinned fish products.
MasterChef Australia: Secrets and Surprises premieres Sunday, May 7 at 7.30pm, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
