The showdown is on. Hunted Australia quickly became one of the most popular new shows of 2022, and now, it’s back with an all-new cast of Fugitives. This year, Chief David Craig has said that our Fugitives are coming in more prepared… but not everyone will make it to the end of the 21 days. After all, the Hunters are a team of real-life experts in their fields. For now, let’s meet two of the people joining the Hunted Australia 2023 cast.
Hunted Australia Cast 2023: Meet Ed and Jimi
Ed, 29, and Jimi 31, are at a crossroads in life. Both currently unemployed, the duo signed up for Hunted Australia as a final hurrah before they move into the next chapter of their lives. Jimi is about to start a new job, and Ed is moving overseas — what better way to say goodbye to the freedom of unemployment and no responsibilities than by taking on Australia’s biggest manhunt?!
The NSW duo first met as colleagues when they were working in radio. Jimi is a former radio DJ, while Ed was a radio branding expert. They’ll be the first to tell you that they were not instant friends, though. Rather, the pair clashed over which one of them was the most flamboyant!

Ed and Jimi’s Hunted Australia 2023 Plan
In so many reality TV competitions, there are three elements that come into play: strength, strategy and social skills. Ed and Jimi plan to rely heavily on their charm and social skills to make it through Hunted Australia 2023.
In a press statement, Ed describes himself as a classic Libra, and notes that he is “extremely manipulative”, but that he puts all that skill and charm to use for good, not evil. Meanwhile, Jimi notes that he is “determined, vivacious, and a great storyteller”.
They’re hoping that they’ll be able to use all of this to their advantage and disarm strangers with their charm and wit. Like Blanche DuBois before them, they’re planning to rely on the kindness of strangers. Whether they need directions, somewhere to stay, or someone to act as a decoy, Ed and Jimi are hoping that everyday Aussies will come to their aide.
Of course, it’s not all about their social skills. In terms of strategy, Ed is planning to take the lead. However, in his everyday life, Ed is all about a well thought out, thorough plan, and Hunted is a game that moves quickly. Will Ed be able to embrace the adaptability and quick decision making necessary to thrive? One thing’s for sure — if he doesn’t, Jimi will be the first to let him know.
Jimi is opinionated, but admittedly, he leads with emotion and can be prone to panicking. Will they be able to find a happy balance, one that plays to their strengths? And with their big personalities, will Ed and Jimi be able to fly under the radar? Only time will tell.
Hunted Australia airs at 7.30pm, Sunday — Tuesday each week, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand. Miss an episode? Catch up on 10 Play.
