It’s official, the first season of Hunted Australia was a smash-hit success. After premiering with a total national audience of 1.25 million, the competition reality program was a thrilling ride from start to finish, and now, Network 10 have confirmed that Hunted Australia will return for a second season.
“We’re thrilled Australian audiences have been captivated by the gripping reality on Hunted,” said Daniel Monaghan, Senior Vice President, Content and Programming, Paramount Australia and New Zealand, in a statement.
“With the undeniable success of the first season, we can’t wait to bring Australians more action, investigation, strategy and epic captures in Season 2.”
In fact, if you’ve been watching Hunted from the comfort of your own home, thinking ‘I could do that’, or even ‘I’d never do that’, then now’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is, because 10 is currently on the hunt (get it) for new Fugitives.

Hunted is the series that asks the very simple question: “Could you disappear without a trace?” but of course, it’s a lot easier said than done.
The Fugitives are released in Melbourne’s CBD with nothing but $500 and an overnight bag to their name, with the task of evading capture for 21 days. The problem? There’s an elite team of Hunters hot on their heels, and they’re not messing about.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to go on the run, then perhaps Hunted Season 2 is the challenge for you! Even better, if you do manage to survive the 21 days without being captured, you’ll win a whole pile of money, and what’s better than that, honestly?!
As for what you’ll need to be a successful applicant to the series, well, you’ll need to be available from February 20th, 2023 to March 15th, 2023. Like the first season, Season 2 will be filmed in and around Melbourne, so if you have a wide extended network of friends and family in Victoria, that’s going to give you an advantage in the competition.
