‘The Challenge Australia’: Brittany Hockley’s Most Hated Trait

It’s been a bumper year for competitive reality TV in Australia and sneaking in before 2022 closes is Network 10’s latest series set to have us binging every episode, The Challenge Australia.

Hosted by Brihony Dawson, The Challenge Australia pits 22 sports legends, influencers and reality TV stars against one another to compete in a series of physical challenges all while living together in one mega-luxe and mega-romantic villa while vying for the ultimate prize of $200,000. Oh, and did we mention some of the contestants have dated before? What could possibly go wrong when living with and competing against your ex?

One of the contestants hoping to take home the prize is Brittany Hockley.

Swapping rose ceremonies for physical feats and social strategy, Hockley is leaving her The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise past behind and is ready to dive into the deep end of The Challenge Australia

“The thing I am going to have the most trouble with is definitely the level of manipulation you need to get to the end. I know I’m going to have to do that at some stage… I’m hoping I can just try to play a pretty honest game,” Brittany says.

Another major challenge for the radio presenter is navigating the many personalities and alliances within the house.

“I hate confrontation! I just go into a shell of myself, I don’t ever want to fight with anyone. Having said that, I will always stick up for myself if I think it’s unjust or if I think I need to for my friends or family. I’m always going to stick up for anyone that I have to. But I detest confrontation. I will never seek it out; I just want to try and be friendly with everybody and have a good time.”

The Challenge Australia airs at 7.30pm on Network Ten on Mondays and Tuesdays. Catch up on 10 Play.
