Last year, Hunted Australia captured the nation’s attention, while the Hunters captured all but two of the Fugitives. This year, they’re back to do it all over again, and you don’t want to miss out on the fun. Thankfully, if you need to know when Hunted is on, what time it’s on, or where to watch if you’ve missed an episode, we’ve got all the details.
Hunted Australia Premise
Hunted Australia is based on the British reality series of the same name, and asks the question: “Could you disappear without a trace?”
The show plonks 10 pairs of regular, everyday Aussies in the middle of the Melbourne CBD with nothing but $500 and an overnight bag to their names. From there, the aim of the game is to evade capture and survive for 21 days.
The Fugitives then have to find a way to beg, borrow, and evade capture. They can go anywhere in Victoria while they’re on the run, but they need to be smart if they don’t want to get caught.
Perhaps it sounds easy enough. They could head to a mate’s house, eat two-minute noodles, and enjoy the break from social media. Not so fast.
Hunting our Fugitives are a team of literal experts. Oh, and they all have years of experience in their fields.
The Hunters
The Hunters are led by The Chief — Former Detective Superintendent Dr David Craig. Then, the team is comprised of some of the world’s best investigators. We’re talking people from the Australian Federal Police, Australian Defence Force and British Intelligence.
But that’s not all. Skilled cyber analysts, a forensic psychologist, special ops and private security fill out the rest of Team Hunter.
Oh, and did we mention the Ground Hunters? They’re the boots on the ground Hunters, who come from law enforcement and the likes.
The Prize
Any Fugitive who survives the 21 day run without being captured will win a share of $100,000. It will be split between however many people make it to the end, but of course, many of the Fugitives will be captured along the way.
If last season is anything to go by, everyone will be tuning in to see this exciting game of cat-and-mouse play out. It’s bound to make for great watercooler chat with your friends and co-workers alike, So, you’ll need to know how, and when, to tune in. We’ve got your back.
