Turns out that Victoria Bitter knows a thing or two about fragrances as well as beer.
Thirst. A scent by VB is the beer makers first foray into the world of cologne and it’s been a successful one at that with Chemist Warehouse confirming Thirst as the fastest-selling fragrance in Australian history. Wild.
Chemist Warehouse, who partnered with the VB team to create Thirst, sold 25,000 units in just 72 hours from its launch on August 13. Thirst quickly sold out and Chemist Warehouse is currently taking pre-orders for the popular cologne.
“We knew that Thirst. A scent by VB was a hit, but to be the fastest-selling Australian fragrance is above and beyond our expectations,” Victoria Bitter’s marketing director, Hayden Turner said.
“The best part is that there are more on the way. We know that there were a few IOU notes on Father’s Day for all the hard-working dads across Australia. Luckily, Thirst should be back on shelves ahead of the hot summer months.”
In total, over 33,000 bottles of Thirst have been sold since it launched and it has eclipsed the popularity of other scents created by well-known Australian personalities.
“Thirst has been the fastest-selling Australian fragrance of all time!” said Albina Reale, national fragrance & beauty buyer for the Chemist Warehouse Group. “We’ve had many great launches like Andy by Hamish, but the demand for this fragrance online and in-store has never been greater.”
The next batch of Thirst is due to hit Chemist Warehouse stores in early October. Head to the Chemist Warehouse website to pre-order your bottle of Thirst to avoid missing out.
