On MasterChef Australia’s 2024 season, we’re in for a journey of growth, as we watch a group of Aussie home cooks transform into incredible chefs. For MasterChef Australia’s Gillian, this journey is a dream come true.
According to the MasterChef Australia judge, Jean-Christophe Novelli, everyone’s culinary development was extremely impressive, including Gillian’s.
“We saw the people changing,” Jean-Christophe said. “They were all changing their attitudes, growing in confidence. We discovered that some people grew quicker than others and some took a longer time. But at the end of the day, everyone, and I mean every single one of them, they all achieved something in MasterChef Australia.”

Who Is MasterChef Australia’s Gillian?
MasterChef Australia’s Gillian hails from Wollongong, NSW, and runs her own lettering art business here. For eight years, Gillian has been creating logos, painting wall murals, and crafting signs. But when Gillian isn’t at her day job, you can find her cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Since an early age, Gillian has been passionate about all things food. Her late nonna, Lina, taught her that food can be a love language, and her father Tommy taught her how to cook delectable meals. On MasterChef Australia, Gillian wants to honour these personal heroes of hers.
On MasterChef Australia, Gillian plans to be incredibly competitive. Gillian plays both basketball and indoor soccer, and she will bring her on-field persona into the kitchen.
If Gillian wins MasterChef Australia 2024, she plans to create her own cookbook filled with her own art and designs.
