If you’re a huge Alanis Morissette fan (who isn’t?) but can’t afford pricy theatre tickets, we have good news for you.
TodayTix, which is a global ticketing platform for live shows, arts and cultural experiences, has launched a mobile Rush experience for the Alanis musical. This means that for every performance day throughout the Sydney season of the musical, there’ll be a limited amount of $45 tickets up for grabs.
What this means is that if you’re looking for last minute, day-of-show tix, you can hop in line on your phone from work, home, wherever, instead of having to stand in line at the box office. Efficient and useful!
Jagged Little Pill has come to Sydney straight from Broadway, where it’s been nominated for a whopping 15 Tony Awards.
The Aussie cast includes Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Tim Draxl, Maggie McKenna, AYDEN, Emily Nkomo, Liam Head, and Grace Miell.
Based on the iconic album, which was the second-best selling album of the entire ’90s and paved the way for female singer-songwriters everywhere, the musical follows a “perfectly imperfect family living in 21st century suburbia”. It features all the hits you know and love, like “You Oughta Know”, “Head Over Feet”, “Hand In My Pocket”, and “Ironic”.
“TodayTix is proud to extend our global relationship with Trafalgar Entertainment, providing Sydney audiences with a seamless, mobile-first way to purchase tickets to Jagged Little Pill at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Sydney, which will no doubt become an iconic venue within the Australian and global theatre network,” said Brian Fenty, TodayTix Co-Founder and CEO.
“We are committed to support the return theatre and the arts to stages across Australia, especially after the most recent lockdown in Sydney, and are proud to extend Theatre Royal Sydney’s accessibility via a couple of taps on the TodayTix app,” he said.
So how do you unlock these v. exclusive Rush tickets? It’s easy! All you have to do is spread the word on your socials, and the chance to snatch up those tickets is yours.
It’s first-come, first-served, so you’d better be online at 9am, because available tickets are limited! There’s also a maximum purchase of two tickets per person.
We’ve got one hand in our pocket, and the other is on the TodayTix app.
