It’s back, baby! That’s right, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is back for Season 9, and as usual, it’s already bringing the laughs and chaos we’ve come to love and expect.
After two seasons of filming in northern New South Wales due to COVID, the borders are open once again, which means I’m a Celeb is back in South Africa, and coming to us live from the jungle.
Hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown are also back, and this season, the premise is simple: make it fun, make it funny, make it a good time for all involved — well, except the celebs, maybe. Having snakes dumped on you or being challenged to ingest a warthog testicle doesn’t sound like much fun to us, to be honest, but look, they knew what they were getting themselves into, right?!
But if you’ve tuned in for all the fun and found yourself thinking “sorry, who is that?” — you’re not alone. Luckily, we’ve got all the goss on who these celebs are, what they’re known for, where you’ve seen them before, and what charity they’re competing for.
One of the celebs who’s made her way to the jungle for the chance to take out the win this season is former Married At First Sight bride Domenica Calarco, who is competing for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Who Is Domenica Calarco?
If you recognise Domenica Calarco, it’s probably from her time on Married At First Sight. Dom was a bride on Season 9 of the hit reality series, and quickly became a fan favourite.
She’s known for holding strong opinions. She’s not known for holding back. Dom is all about telling it how it is, and is passionate about standing up for what’s right.
Beyond her time on MAFS, Dom found her place in the Aussie pop culture landscape with her successful podcast Sit With Us. Dom co-hosts the podcast alongside her best friend Ella May Ding, where the duo discuss dating, reality TV, pop culture, and whatever else is on their minds.
Regardless of what the pair are chatting about, the numbers say it all. The podcast debuted at number one, stayed there for weeks, and racked up over a million downloads in its first year.
It’s full steam ahead for the podcast, but that’s not the only thing Dom has going on at the moment. In her free time, she’s busy penning her upcoming book, titled Not a Self Help Book.
As for how she’ll fare in the jungle? Well, Dom thinks she’ll do okay.
“Having done MAFS already, how hard could living in the jungle with some strangers be… I’ve pretty much already done it!” Dom joked in a press statement, adding: “Feed me to the lions, Part 2!”
What Does the Leukaemia Foundation Do?
Dom is competing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! with the hopes of taking home the win for the Leukaemia Foundation. It’s a cause close to the reality star’s heart — five years ago, Dom lost her uncle Frank to the blood cancer five years ago.
The Leukaemia Foundation is all about providing support to patients, as well as ongoing support throughout treatment. They also have support services for families, and provide valuable resources and information to anyone wanting to learn more about blood cancers.
Their biggest goal, however, is working towards a world in which zero lives are lost to blood cancer by 2035.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs at 7.30pm, Sunday – Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
