The Emmys But Aussie: Everything You Need to Know About the 2023 Logies

We’re just going to say it: The Logies can be a stunning car crash to watch.

Remember when Australia’s Julia Morris presented an award in 2015, but forgot to mention the nominees? Iconic.

Or when Tom Gleeson won a 2019 Logie for his work on Hard Quiz, only to go on an eight-minute rant about how the Logies’ voting process is broken. What a stellar beauty to behold.

Ergo, this year’s Logies should be no different. It’ll be another year of commemorating the best of Australian television and its guests carking it up.

If you want to watch the 2023 Logies, here are the details to know.

When to Watch the Logies in 2023

The 2023 Logies will take place on Sunday, July 30. And as it stands, we don’t know when it’ll start.

However, in 2022, the Logie red carpet interviews started at 7.00pm AEST. Then, at 7.30pm, the awards ceremony hit the ground running.

It would be rather surprising if the 2023 Logies had a starkly new and different start time.

How to Watch the Logies in 2023

In 2022, the only way to watch the Logies was by tuning into Channel 9 or using the 9Now app.

But in 2023, everything is changing. ‘Cause Channel 7 now has the sole rights to broadcast the Logies.

What’s more, this isn’t the only change coming to the Logies. Last year, the show took place on the Gold Coast, but this year, the event will be held in Sydney.

Are Media, the production company that makes the Logies, is stoked with both of these changes.

As Are Media’s CEO, Jane Huxley, said, “It’s so exciting to see the next era begin for the TV WEEK Logies, welcoming Seven as the official broadcast partner and with a new location for the illustrious awards night.”

“The TV WEEK Logie Awards remains the most anticipated event of the year for the television industry as we celebrate the most popular stars and shows on our screens.”

If you want to watch the 2023 Logies, you can do so on Channel 7 or the 7plus app.
