After a year off the air, the Golden Globes are back.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and in Australia, viewers can tune into the live show on Stan from 12pm AEDT. This marks the streaming platform’s very first live-streamed award show.

Leading the nominations this year is Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin, which has eight nods, including a nomination for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, one for Best Director, as well as acting nominations for stars Colin Farrell, Kerry Condon, Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan.

The Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All At Once follows Banshees with six nominations, including nods for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director, and acting nods for Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan.

Damien Chazelle’s Babylon and Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans  also did well, with each film scoring five nods.

Meanwhile, Abbott Elementary led the television nominees, picking up five nominations, including Best TV Series (Musical or Comedy) and Best Actress in a TV Series (Musical or Comedy) for show creator and lead, Quinta Brunson.
