Golden Globes 2020: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s Friendly Reunion

Jennifer Aniston

In 2005, hearts were broken all over the world when Hollywood’s favourite “It” couple, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston divorced.

Both went on to marry others — Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Aniston, Justin Theroux — but fans of Brad and Jen have always hoped for a reunion. Especially after both Pitt and Aniston split from their respective partners and the Allied actor was spotted at the former Friends’ stars 50th birthday celebrations in February 2019.

When news broke that both actors were nominated at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, there was one image that every single fan of the couple wanted to see. The pair back together again.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Pitt was quizzed about his ex-wife.

“I’ll run into Jen, she’s a good friend. Yeah,” the 56-year-old told ET’s Kevin Frazier.

“The second most important reunion of her year? I understand,” he joked, before saying: “That was a play on Friends. They were saying that.”

While we’re yet to see any photographic evidence, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association were very clever indeed, placing Pitt and Aniston at tables right next to each other.

In fact, when Pitt went on stage to accept his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, “coincidentally” Aniston was visible every single time they showed Pitt’s co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio. Which was A LOT.

Beaming at his win, Aniston was caught laughing at a joke her ex made during his speech.

“I want to say hi to my folks, because hey! They’re back in the Ozarks,” he explained.

“I wanted to bring my mum, but I couldn’t, because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating.”

“It would just be awkward,” he added, with Aniston laughing out loud.

Ah, good times. Take us back to 1998.
