Fearless. Powerful. Beast-esque. Three words that describe the 2024 season of Gladiators. Three words that describe Damien Rider’s performance as Cobra.

For those of us who weren’t privy to free-to-air TV in the nineties, Gladiators was the best reality TV comp of that decade. In this series, a number of permanent competitors, called Gladiators, battle against a number of one-time contestants, called Challengers. These battles consist of wrestling matches, aerial fights, and other physical challenges.

In this reboot, there are a tonne of fresh faces including hosts Liz Ellis and Beau Ryan. Another fresh face is Damien as Cobra. Here is everything we know about the man behind this alter-ego.

**Who Is the Gladiators’ Cobra?**

Damien Rider is best known for his impressive list of extreme adventures and tales. He once pushed a three-tonne truck down the Gold Coast, he became the first person to skateboard the entire Route 66, and once paddled 800km from the Gold Coast to Bondi. If there’s an absurd task that needs conquering, Damien is your man.

In 2015, Damien won the Men’s Health Man of the Year Award. He was also on the 2018 season of The Bachelorette, but was eliminated in the third episode of this series.

As Cobra, Damien is aiming to distract his opponents before taking them down. He will become a cold-blooded killer who can strike at any time. Challengers of Cobra, beware.

According to all accounts, Damien is hyped to become the Cobra on Gladiators.
