Fan favourites Coldplay have dropped their ninth studio album Music Of The Spheres (out October 15) consisting of 12 new tracks.
To mark the occasion, the English band are giving fans worldwide the chance to tune into an exclusive performance of the new music, live from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
In great news for Aussie audiences, the performance will take place at the Southern Hemisphere friendly time of 12:00 Noon AEST / 1:00 PM AEDT on Saturday 23 October.
The performance will be the band’s first arena show in nearly five years, and the first chance for fans to hear their brand-new music in person, just one week after the album is released.
Viewers worldwide will have the chance to tune in live with Amazon Music to experience the concert as it happens on the Amazon Music app, the Amazon Music Twitch channel, and on Prime Video for all customers with or without a Prime Membership. The show will also mark the grand opening of Climate Pledge Arena in the heart of Seattle.
In a statement, Coldplay expressed their excitement and promised the event will be “a special night.”
Having formed in London in 1996, Coldplay has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling groups. They have been the recipients of nine Brit Awards, seven MTV Video Music Awards, eight MTV Europe Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards, having been nominated for the latter 35 times. The band has found chart success with many of their tracks including ‘Yellow’, ‘Clocks’, ‘Fix You’ and ‘Viva la Vida.’

If you’re unable to tune into the live stream in real-time, never fear — Amazon Music and Prime Video will release a feature-length version of the concert, which will be available on Prime Video in early November, along with an exclusive four-track Amazon Original EP of the band’s live performance, available to stream only on Amazon Music.
