Just when you thought Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders couldn’t get any more wild, the intruders have arrived.

This season of Big Brother Australia has been one for the ages, with fan favourite housemates like past winners Reggie Bird, Tim Dormer and Trevor Butler all re-entering the house as Big Brother Royalty. To add to the drama, BB also reunited exes Anthony Drew and Tully Smyth, who broke up shortly after their scandalous love affair rocked the nation back in 2013.

Then, we have our New Contenders, who are busy trying to make their own mark on Big Brother Australia. Already this season we’ve seen some big moves from the Royals to eliminate the New Contenders, like when Estelle Landy held out for two hours and 55 minutes in a challenge so that she could protect her fellow OGs and nominate the entire J-Crew, of Johnson Ashak, Joel Notley, and Jaycee.

There may be a lot going on in the house already, but that’s never stopped Big Brother from shaking things up before! Thus, he’s adding two new housemates to the mix.

Meet Brenton Parkes and Jules Rangiheuea, this year’s intruders.

26-year-old Parkes is a Sydney-based actor, model, DJ and entrepreneur. A devout Christian, Parkes describes himself as a funny, creative, happy and loving guy, but don’t get it twisted: Parkes is ready to play the game to its fullest extent, even if it means manipulating people.

In his pre-show Q&A, Parkes said he’s most looking forward to “meeting everyone and having a laugh”, and thinks he’ll be “funny, entertaining and loveable” as a housemate.

As for the things he can’t live without, Parkes says his wife and Bible are top of the list.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Rangiheuea is best known for her podcast Good B**ch, in which she discusses sex, relationships and everything in between.

Rangiheuea is a feminist, a straight shooter, and a natural leader with a big personality, which is sure to ruffle some feathers in the house. Her aim for Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders is to become the first intruder to win Big Brother Australia.

In her pre-show Q&A, Rangiheuea says that her strengths lie in being “very resilient, brave and fearless”.

“I’ll throw myself into any situation as I believe only good things come out of saying ‘yes’ to everything,” she explains, adding: “I’m incredibly mentally strong and push myself every day at training to be better than the last.”

Her weaknesses, meanwhile, are being “too loyal and quick to judge lazy people”.

“I write people off if they let me down once,” she says.

Rangiheuea says she applied for Big Brother Australia because she’s “always dreamt of sitting in Big Brother’s Diary Room and living in the house”.

“I want to know what type of social game I’d play in a setting like that,” she adds.

Will Parkes or Rangiheuea become the first intruder to win Big Brother Australia? Only time will tell. Until then…

Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders airs Monday – Wednesdays, only on Channel 7 and 7 Plus.
