Great news for fans of wholesome love stories and that good old country life — Farmer Wants A Wife is heading back to Channel 7 in 2022 and will see a new batch of single farmers hoping to meet their perfect match.
The 2021 season is currently underway at the network with audiences falling in love with the blossoming romance between the contestants and the men they have been matched with. Of course, the current season has also seen some heartache as the ladies are sent home as the experiment heads towards a conclusion.
Hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, this year’s search for love by our rural Romeos – Matt, Andrew, Sam, Will and Rob – has lifted Seven’s television timeslot audience. The 2021 season is also a hit on social media, with 15 million impressions, 7.3 million video views and 1.3 million interactions.
Since it launched on July 4, the 2021 season has scored an average total audience across linear TV and BVOD of 1.35 million and reached more than 4 million people. The launch episode had a total audience of 1.53 million.
The dating show has a pretty impressive track record, has resulted in 170 marriages, one long-term relationship and 387 beautiful farmer babies worldwide. In Australia alone, the series has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship and 23 babies.
