At the end of August, Apple announced an upcoming event many suspect will be the annual unveiling of a suite of new products, including the highly-anticipated iPhone 14 and Apple Watch 8.
Over the last few years, Apple has announced its new products at events like one, always around September. So, all signs are pointing to this being the case again.
The event invite, which went out to media around the world at the end of August, simply reads ‘Far out’, alongside details for how to watch the broadcast from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California online.

Ahead, we round up everything else we know about it so far.
When Is the Apple September Event?
As the event will be broadcast live from the Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple’s campus in Cupertino California, it’ll be held on Wednesday, September 7 at 10am, Pacific Coast Time.
When Is the Apple Event in Australia Time?
The timing of this translates to a not-so-ideal Thursday early morning here in Australia. If you want to watch the event live, you’ll have to set your alarms to watch it at September 8 at 3am AEST, 2:30am ACST and 1am AWST.
How Can I Watch the Apple Event?
You can watch the event live on Apple’s event specific page, the company’s YouTube channel or on Apple TV. After the live stream, it’ll likely be uploaded on Apple’s event page, which currently hosts other past Apple events.
What’s Expected to Be Launched at the Apple Event?
A lot, really.
First, there’s the iPhone 14 range. According to multiple online sources, the mini iPhone will be axed, while a new Max model (different to Pro Max) will be introduced. It’ll sit alongside the line-up of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The Max model is said to be the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but cheaper and without the Pro features. So, basically, just with a bigger screen and bigger battery, but nothing else that the regular iPhone 14 doesn’t have.
The new Apple Watch, Series 8, is also expected to be announced at the event. Reliable Apple insider Mark Gurman predicts the range will include a new pro model for sportier consumers, which will have a larger display, rugged titanium case, new fitness tracking features and longer battery life. For the price-conscious, an Apple Watch SE will also be debuted, Gurman noted.
Finally, an update to Apple’s AirPod Pros is also rumoured to be announced. Though it’s said Apple is working on an update to its HomePod and a new VR/AR headset, neither are expected to be announced at this event.
