The series features a star-studded ensemble that includes Sherry-Lee Watson, known for her role in Heartbreak High, and Will McDonald, who has also graced the screen in Heartbreak High and Young Rock.
Joining them are the talented Miranda Otto, known for her roles in The Clearing and Talk To Me, and the versatile Noah Taylor, recognised for his appearances in Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones. Thou Shalt Not Steal Plot
Thou Shalt Not Steal centres around Robyn, portrayed by Sherry-Lee Watson, a young First Nations woman who embarks on a journey to uncover a mysterious family secret. Escaping from detention, she reluctantly teams up with Gidge (McDonald), an awkward teenager.
This journey takes them from a small central desert community on a perilous road trip across the outback. Along the way, they seek answers, confront life’s harsh realities, and form a bond that will change them forever.
The stakes are high as they are pursued by Maxine (Otto), a sex trafficker whose taxi Robyn stole, and Gidge’s domineering father Robert (Taylor), a fraudulent preacher. This gripping storyline promises a rollercoaster of emotions and thrilling encounters against the backdrop of Australia’s stunning landscapes.
