Samsung’s new foldable phones were announced last week and we’re already sold on the idea of a flip phone, even though we never dreamed we’d be saying that in 2022.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4 are releasing on September 2 and Telstra, Optus and Vodafone are already offering competitive plans for the new phones.
If you’re the kind of person who prefers owning their phones outright, we’ve got the Australian prices right here. Prices for the Flip4 phone range from $1,499 for the 128GB model to $1,849 for the 512GB model, while the Fol4 is a little more expensive across the board starting at $2,499 for the 256GB model and an eye-watering $2,999 for the 1TB model.
But if you’d like to save a bit of money on your initial costs, here’s your guide to the cheapest plans for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4.

If you can’t decide which plan to go with, maybe the pre-order bonuses being offered by each telco will help you make up your mind.
Telstra is offering a free Samsung Galaxy Watch5 (valued at up to $649) while Optus is offering a free Galaxy Tab A8 (valued at $529). And if you pre-order at Vodafone, you’ll get an extra $700 trade-in credit and a free Samsung Wireless Charger Trio (valued at $159).
Everyone who pre-orders the Flip4 or Fold4 will automatically get a bonus storage upgrade — so if you order the 128GB model you’ll get the 256GB model instead, and so on. This means if you’re eyeing off the 1TB Fold4, you can order the 512GB model instead. You’ll still receive the 1TB model and you’ll save $300.
