Season 1 of RFDS is centred on the Royal Flying Doctor Service that’s based in NSW’s Broken Hill. This service flies emergency medical and primary health services to people who can’t easily access such resources.
However, RFDS is more than just about the medical drama of flying around and saving people. It also gets into the interpersonal drama of the people who are working these jobs.

Season 2 of RFDS takes place one year after the events of Season 1. However, time hasn’t made working for the Royal Flying Doctor Service any easier. In this season, the Broken Hill team will be confronted with numerous challenges in the air, on land, with each other, and within themselves.
According to Channel 7, the emergency-based plots that feature in this season of RFDS are based on real events.
RFDS’ Season 2 Cast

The cast members coming back for RFDS season 2 include:
- Emma Hamilton from Ten Pound Poms
- Stephen Peacocke from Home and Away
- Justine Clarke from Going Country
- Ash Ricardo from Force of Nature: The Dry 2
- Thomas Weatherall from Heartbreak High
What’s more, Emma Harvie is also joining the crew. She’ll be performing as Chaya, a charismatic mental health nurse. Emma has previously starred in Colin From Accounts and Frayed.
RFDS’ Season 2 Start Date
As it stands, the latest season of RFDS doesn’t have a start date. However, Channel 7 has stated that it’s coming soon.
