The Manifestation Trick That Is Going Viral on TikTok

Have you tried manifestation before? Whether or not you think manifesting (or setting intentions) is your thing, it might be a good time to give it a go with the latest manifestation hack to go viral on TikTok.

The social networking app isn’t just filled with choreographed dances and cute animals but is also home to a number of ingenious ideas that can make your life a little easier — including our favourites like the wrap hack (that is turning the functionally of wrap bread on its head) and the dishwasher hack (to clean fruit and veggies).

The manifestation hack that is also proving to be popular on the app is known as the 369 manifestation method and it’s pretty straight forward. According to Refinery29, to use the method, start by picking what you want to manifest — that could be a change in career or a new love interest, it’s up to you.

Then, in the morning, just after you wake up, write down that change three times. In the afternoon, after lunch, write that same thing you want to manifest six times. Lastly, at night, write it nine times. While it sounds super simple, there is a significance behind the numbers used in the method.

“In the practice, the number three directly connects us to the universe or the source, six represents the strength we have within ourselves, and nine helps us to move on from the past and releases any self-doubt we have,” Elizabeth Gulino wrote for Refinery29.

When writing down what you wish to manifest, it is also recommended that you make the message 17 seconds long. Abraham Hicks, a law of attraction and manifestation expert, says that this time period is enough to get the manifestation ball rolling. And, while you’re at it, try not to let doubt enter your writing practice.

“Avoid becoming frustrated if your mind strays during these seventeen seconds. Also, steer clear of promoting any feelings of obsessive intentions or underlying feelings of lack,” Susie Pinon wrote for Medium. “For if you are unable to control doubtful feelings, you will create resistance and nothing will come of all your hard work. Take a step back, centre yourself, and come back to reciting your affirmations when you are at least in a neutral mindset.”

The phrases you use in your writing are important as well and experts recommend that you write the statement as if you already have it. For example, if you’re manifesting a promotion at work, Sarah Potter, a tarot reader, professional witch, and colour magic practitioner, recommends phrasing it as follows: “I’m so satisfied and inspired by this promotion that I have received at work, and it’s wonderful to be challenged and to be recognised for all of my hard work. This promotion truly aligns with my highest self.”

“I think it’s really important to put your desires into writing because it’s really clear,” Potter told Refinery29.

While users of the 369 method swear by its efficacy, there’s no telling how long it can take before you see changes in your life. Pinon recommends throwing out any sort of timeline you might have in mind as no matter how much you will it, it won’t affect the speediness of the outcome.

“If you’re new to manifesting, it’s important that you don’t force a timeline on your manifestation regarding when you want something to happen,” Pinon wrote. “This will naturally incur resistance and force you into a vibration of desperation, no matter how sure of yourself you will manifest by that specific date.”

Good luck!
