One of Bangkok’s most luxurious hotels is offering the deal of the lifetime: a year-long stay in the five-star hotel for a one-off fee of $1 million Thai Baht — around AU $44,116 at the current conversion.
The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit has launched the One Million Baht Club as a means of welcoming new travellers to Bangkok and securing long-term hotel guests following a trying year for international tourism.
Available for up to two adults and two children, the hotel says its new package deal is a “wonderful value-for-money opportunity for frequent guests who are seeking a semi-permanent stay in the city centre of Bangkok”.
In addition to a Club Room for 365 nights, guests who join the One Million Baht Club will also receive Club Lounge access (where breakfast, coffee, tea, and evening cocktails are served), Club Lounge meeting room usage, and 200,000 Thai Baht (AU $8,800) for food and drink credits over the course of the stay.
Guests will also enjoy daily housekeeping services, access to the 24-hour fitness centre and infinity pool, unlimited wifi, daily laundry and dry cleaning services, and a car spot on the premises.
As a special treat, the hotel will even host your birthday at a private rooftop party at Spectrum Lounge & Bar, the hotel’s private rooftop venue overlooking the Bangkok skyline, with two hours of house wines and beers for 20 people.
The One Million Baht Club package also includes a hefty load of additional benefits and opportunities from the hotel’s business partners.
Over the course of the year-long stay, guests will be able to use the hotel’s limousine 10 times to go anywhere within Bangkok. They’ll also be able to enjoy 10 one-hour Thai or Aroma massages at Let’s Relax at the Allez.
And if that wasn’t enough, guests can also enjoy 10 nights free at a partner Hyatt Resort in Thailand, whether that’s in Hua Hin, Samui or Phuket.
Acknowledging the year prior and any concerns guests may have for their health and safety, the package also includes an Executive Program Medical Checkup at Bumrungrad International Hospital with transfers included, should you need it.
At around $22,058 each (assuming two adults take the deal), the offer is actually somewhat affordable, especially if you were to continue working your regular job remotely at the same time.
The cost (when broken down into weekly instalments), is comparable to Sydney and Melbourne’s rental prices. If a tenant is paying $848 per week, they would end up paying $44,116 a year, which is the cost of spending a year in the five-star Bangkok hotel. Between two, that’s $424 each per week. See? Not so bad!
The One Million Baht Club offer is available until March 31, 2021. Those interested must pay ahead in full, and must commence their stay on April 1, 2021, at the latest.
