In January 2021, several women came forward with allegations of severe abuse at the hand of Call Me By Your Name actor Armie Hammer, detailing encounters of emotional abuse, gaslighting, sexual violence and rape. A few months later, Vanity Fair published a longform exposé on the Hammer dynasty, tracing the sins of his wealthy, oil-magnate family all the way back to 1919.
Now, Hammer and his family are the subjects of a new docuseries, titled House of Hammer.
The three-part docuseries will feature two of Hammer’s alleged victims, Courtney Vucekovich and Julia Morrison, who will share the stories of their relationships with the actor.
In the trailer for the docuseries, Vucekovich and Morrison share screenshots and voice memos purportedly from Hammer, in which he goes into explicit detail about his sexual fantasies.
“My bet was going to involve showing up at your place and completely tying you up and incapacitating you and then being able to do whatever I wanted to every single hole in your body until I was done with you,” says a man’s voice in a message alleged to be from Hammer.
The trailer also shows a screenshot of a text message in which Hammer allegedly proclaims that he is “100% a cannibal”, as well as a handwritten note that says: “I am going to bite the f**k out of you.”
Also partaking in the docuseries is Casey Hammer, who is Armie’s aunt, as well as the granddaughter of oil tycoon Armand Hammer. Casey had previously spoken to Vanity Fair for their piece on the Hammer family, and served as a consultant on House of Hammer.
“Magnify Succession a million times, and it was my family,” she says in the trailer. “If you believe about making deals with the devil, the Hammers are top of the totem pole.”
“I’ve let the Hammers control me my whole life,” Casey adds. “It’s time to stop. I refuse to be silenced.”
At the time of the allegations, Hammer slammed them as “bulls**t claims“, and “spurious online attacks”, but was later reported to have checked into an “in-patient facility for drug, alcohol, and sex issues, according to three sources”, per Vanity Fair. These days, he is supposedly working as a timeshare salesman in the Cayman Islands now.
