Elvis Presley By Numbers: Celebrating the King of Rock and Roll

Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley, otherwise known as the King of Rock and Roll (and the man my mother wishes she had married) undeniably changed the music industry forever.

Born Elvis Aaron Presley on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the singer and actor was known for his dashing good looks, gem-studded jumpsuits and his incredible voice that is like the equivalent of drinking a Hot Toddy on a cold day. Delicious, with the power to warm you from the inside out.

The catastrophic rise and tragic death of Presley has been well-documented in several books, documentaries, limited series, dramatisations and blogs, and will once again be explored in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic starring Tom Hanks and Austin Butler.

In celebration of one of the most influential artists in music history, here is Elvis Presley in numbers.
