A Love Letter to Go-To Skincare’s Exfoliating Swipeys

Go-To Skincare

Exfoliating is probably the best part of my skincare routine. Seriously.

When I was a teenager, I was plagued with blackheads, particularly on my nose.

While it wasn’t the end of the world, it did make me feel self-conscious as they were so visible.

Thankfully, as I’ve gotten older, this issue has subsided. This is probably down to the fact that I’m no longer going through puberty (thank goodness!).

But, I still get blemishes on the surface of my nose, of course, but nothing to the extent of my teen years.

My issue now is the build up of dead skin that I experience, especially on my nose (sensing a theme here?). My skin is also prone to dullness and dryness. Fun.

So, this is why I love exfoliating. I find that it makes the biggest difference to the look and feel of my skin. I feel like my face oil and cream sink in deeper and that my skin looks fresher post-exfoliation.

I was first introduced to Go-To a couple of years ago. I tried a few products, including Face Hero and Very Useful Face Cream, which were great but I didn’t delve any deeper into the product range.

Recently, when discussing my dull skin woes, a friend suggested I try Go-To’s Exfoliating Swipeys. I had begun to dabble in the world chemical exfoliants (after only ever using physical exfoliants, which were too harsh for my skin). And now, I’m hooked.

Hyperbole most definitely isn’t my style, but I honestly fell in love with these little cotton pads. They remove dead skin thanks to the addition of lactic acid and offer hydration, which are two things my skin needs most.

I’ve noticed that the dullness has disappeared for the most part and my once dry skin has improved significantly. My skin also feels soft after using them (not tight and uncomfortable) and I haven’t experienced any reactions.

I generally use the Swipeys twice a week. After I’ve washed my face, I swipe the solution across my damp face and leave it for a minute. Then I quickly rinse it off and follow with face oil and then face cream. It takes little effort but has had a noticeable impact in my case.

Go-To Exfoliating Swipeys cost $46 for 50 pads. You can purchase via Go-To or in-store and online at Mecca.
