Everyone has a brow product they love and basically can’t live without. And, it’s a mixed bag. Some prefer pencils, while others like gels, powders or pomade products.
I personally fall into the gel category. I tint my eyebrows to darken them (otherwise they look non-existent) and I’m lucky because they aren’t too sparse so I don’t need the pencil to fill them in. I basically just love a gel product to make sure the hairs are defined and sitting in the right place.
I’m pretty loyal to one particular product but also enjoy trying out new brow products that come my way to see if anything else tickles my fancy. One such recent release that sparked my interest is the Fenty Beauty Brow MVP Sculpting Wax Pencil & Styler.
The thin tube is double-ended, one with a wax head and the other a little brush. The idea is that you apply the wax in short strokes all over the eyebrow, then follow it up with the styler to brush through and set in place.
I tried this product out as soon as I received it and liked it instantly. The wax gives you a firm (but not crunchy) hold but is flexible enough that your brows don’t look like they’re glued to your face. And because the wax itself is clear, it would work on all skin tones and hair colours.
The brush head is also pretty good and combs through your brows nicely and allows you to create a feathered brow look — if that’s a vibe you’re after.
My brows are definitely sisters and not twins, and for some reason, my right eyebrow has a tendency to go a bit rouge even with product in it. When I apply the Fenty Beauty Brow MVP wax, it does a good job at keeping the right one in place.
I’ve worn this many times now (for hours at a time) and it has really good staying power — maybe even a little better compared to my trusty eyebrow gel — and it’s probably down to the formula being sweat and water-resistant. If you’re a fan of soap brows, this product definitely gives off a similar vibe.
I’ll be using this product over my gel for the foreseeable future as I’m really enjoying the fluffy look it gives my brows while also keeping them where they should be. So, if you’re in the market for a new brow product, give this one a go.
