All Aussies love a good show about houses. If this wasn’t the case, The Block wouldn’t have 19 seasons and counting. Better Homes and Gardens wouldn’t be an institution. What’s more, Channel 7 wouldn’t be releasing an exciting new series called Dream Home.
In Dream Home, six pairs of everyday Australians will each transform a dilapidated family home into an astonishing new house. They’ll transform these houses nail by nail, room by room, week by week. At the end of each challenge, these rooms will be scored by a panel of expert judges.
However, this series isn’t just a retread of The Block — there’s a twist. Each pair will be renovating their own homes, making the stakes higher than ever.

Dream Home’s 2024 Judges
If you’re after someone to judge your house, you want the Dream Home judges, because these three experts are at the peak of their respective professions. We have the superstar agent Simon Cohen, the award-winning designer Rosie Morley, and Three Birds Renovations’ Lana Taylor. When it comes to creating homes that Aussies will buy, these three are invaluable experts.
According to Simon, he wants to guide each team through their renovation plans to ensure that their properties are properly elevated.
“I’m thrilled to be part of Dream Home,” Simon said in a press statement. “The stakes are high in any competition, but when it comes to your own home, the sky’s the limit. These renovations will be incredible and life-changing.”
Dream Home: The 2024 Host
The host of Dream Home 2024 is none other than Dr Chris Brown. Chris is an Aussie veterinarian who first entered our lounge rooms — and our hearts — on Bondi Vet, which followed his work at a clinic in Sydney.
However, since then, Chris has been a staple of reality television. From 2015 to 2023, he co-hosted I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! alongside Julia Morris. Since departing Network Ten for Channel 7 last year, Seven has also announced Dr Chris as a host on Dancing With the Stars this year.
