The best part of Disneyland is not the rides, not the merch, not even the firework show over Cinderella’s Castle; it’s the snacks.
Honestly give or take the rest because as far as this editor is concerned, the Disneyland-specific snacks — be it churros or a Mickey Bar — is the only real reason to brave the crowds, immensely long lines, and winding pathways of crying/screaming toddlers.
And the best snack of them all is Dole Whip. Available only from Disneyland’s Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland and at the Coffee House in Disneyland Hotel, Dole Whip first came to be in Hawaii in 1986 before it was brought over to Disneyland two years later.
The secret recipe has never publically been revealed in full, and thus it’s usually only enjoyed by visitors to the theme parks. But for the first time ever, Dole Whip is coming Down Under to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, according to Nine Honey.
Dole Whip is described as a soft-serve, frozen pineapple treat that’s both sweet and tart. It’s dairy and gluten free, and can be enjoyed either on its own or floating atop a cup of pineapple juice. It’s tasty, it’s refreshing, it’s delicious.
The Dole Whip cone can be found at this year’s Easter Show in the GIANTS Stadium concourse and The Woolworths Fresh Food Dome. It’ll be available in the traditional pineapple flavour, as well as mango, strawberry and watermelon.
The treat was scheduled to make its Aussie debut at the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show, but the pandemic put a stopper to the event. Now, though, the moment has arrived.
