Some people venture to Disneyland for the nostalgia, others for the magic of Cinderella’s Castle. Some are dragged by their kids or Disney-obsessed partners wearing festive hats, and then there’s the select few of us who come for the food — the churros in particular.
Back in March, all Disney themeparks around the world were forced to shut in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, which meant no visitors to the magic kingdom and no churros chomped down while standing in endless line rides.
But Disneyland or Disneyworld aside, the good folks over at Disney are here to spread joy, which is why they’ve released the long-withheld recipe for the park’s famous churro tots, so that all the isolation bakers out there could make them at home.
The best bit? You likely have everything the recipe calls for hanging out in your pantry. So without further ado, here what you’ll need to make Disney’s famous churro tots at home.
You will need:
★ 1 cup water
★ 8 tablespoons butter
★ 1/4 teaspoon salt
★ 3/4 teaspoon powdered cinnamon, divided
★ 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
★ 3 eggs
★ 1 1/2 cups vegetable or canola oil
★ 1/2 cup sugar
The recipe can be found in the video below. Follow these easy steps and serve up with melted chocolate for a delicious movie snack. Or midnight snack. Or morning snack. There are no rules in isolation.
