In an attempt to replicate the success of Aldi’s Special Buys, Coles has brought out a Best Buys range. Similar to Aldi, the Best Buys catalogue contains a limited number of items that are available for a short amount of time.
In this week’s Best Buys catalogue, Coles is selling a weighted blanket for $79. Weighted blankets are said to reduce anxiety and stress, while also creating a calming effect thanks to the pressure applied to your body. This pressure can also help you drift off to sleep easier.
The Coles blanket is made from short plush microfibre fabric and has a removable cover that can be washed. According to the website, the blanket is filled with glass beads which create the weighted effect — we’re not sure how this works exactly — and weighs 6.5kg.
The Best Buys catalogue also contains a few other sleeping essentials including Faux Fur Throws for $19.99, Microfibre Sheet Sets starting at $14.99 and Microfibre Pillows for $16.99 each.
There’s also a Wool Blend Quilt for sale, starting at $44.99 for a single bed and going up to $59.99 for a king size. This quilt is made from natural insulating that helps regulate temperature while you sleep, while also being machine washable.
For little ones, Coles is also offering a Glow in the Dark Quilt Cover Set for $24.99. The single-sized quilt cover comes with one pillowcase and is covered in stars and moons that glow when the lights are turned off — basically every little kid’s dream.
These items go on sale at Coles on Friday, June 12 until June 25 and can only be purchased in-store. The Best Buys range can only be found at selected stores in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA. Head to the Coles website to find your closest store.
