Back in April of 2020, Jules Sebastian caused a frenzy when she shared an Instagram photo of herself wearing a mustard yellow jumper.
“Where is your jumper from?”, “Love the jumper. Great colour. Where is it from?” and “Could I ask where you got this gorgeous jumper,” her fans asked.
In fact, so many people questioned her that Sebastian hopped on her Instagram Stories to share details on the find. Turns out, the jumper was from discount chain Big W and set her back a mere $20. Naturally, it quickly sold out of stores after she shared the tip off.
Fast forward two years, and this month, Sebastian announced she has teamed up with the store on a four-episode an online digital series called The Design Series. Alongside members of the Big W team, including the brand’s home designer and trend specialist, the stylist and mum-of-two will chat about all things fashion and homewares.
“I love helping Aussie families discover affordable ways to refresh their wardrobe and home,” Sebastian said in an announcement. “With this amazing range created by Big W, we’ve been able to share some simple yet inspirational styling tips that can help families look and feel their best this season.”
Gurpreet Panesar, Big W’s Senior Manager, Brand & Product Development, said the brand’s team understands families are looking for homewares and fashion that feel comfortable and are on-trend. “Our newest ranges have embraced this with comfort meeting style through warm tones, artistic shapes and cosy textures, with prices starting at just $4,” she said.
So, what are Sebastian’s picks from Big W, specifically for a busy mum’s wardrobe? Ahead are three of them:
&me Women’s Bordered Long Sleeve Dress – Black, $30
&me Women’s Funnel Neck Jumper – Chestnut, $25
Sahara Double Circle Hip Belt – Black, $12
As for what to buy home-wise, Sebastian suggests:
House & Home Large Ceramic Vase – Sunrise Valley, $12
Home Trading Co Fabric Storage Ottoman – Pink, $65
Home Trading Co Oxford Wood and Linen Armchair, $119
