Sydney’s vibrant café culture has always been a highlight of the city’s social scene, but what if you could share that experience with your four-legged friend? Well, fortunately for Sydney dog owners, the city offers plenty of places where you can.
From sunny outdoor patios where your pup can bask in the sunshine to cafes that offer gourmet canine treats alongside your latte, we’ve scoured the city to find the most welcoming spots for both you and your furry companion.
Ahead is our edit of the best dog-friendly cafes in Sydney.
Three Blue Ducks, Rosebery and Bondi
At Rosebery, head to the leafy courtyard with your pooch to enjoy the menu. Breakfast gets a deluxe twist with chorizo and blood sausage baked eggs. There’s no menu for your dog, but they won’t frown upon palming bits under the table. At the Bondi outpost, you’ll also need to nab a seat outside and make sure your dog is on a leash.
Dachshund Coffee, Hunters Hill
All dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome here. The doggy menu is packed with pup-friendly treats such as ‘Doglato,’ puppycino, and paw treats. For humans, enjoy breakfast classics, such as egg benny, big breakfasts, and salad bowls.
Porch & Parlour, North Bondi
This chill corner cafe has artfully distressed walls; a meu focused on good, whole foods, and pups sprawled out under tables. Every local and their dog comes here, whether they’re picking up a soy cap to go or staying for the green pea pancakes. As long as your dog is on a leash, they can stay.
Naked Brew, Erskineville
Pop into Naked Brew for a long brunch with friends and your furry pals. The human menu is packed with classic breakfast favourites and a few twists like a soft-shell crab benedict. For your dog, they can tuck into a carob-and-peanut-butter “domuts” and doggie chinos with goat’s milk and liver sprinkles.
Four Ate Five, Surry Hills
Venture down Crown Street to Four Ate Five, where staff gracefully weave through to serve mouthwatering classics like BLTs and toasties. While there’s no doggy menu, you can palm some breakfast sausage to your pooch under the table.
