Is Your Pet Despo for a Holiday? These Sydney Hotels Will Allow Four-Legged Friends

Manly Pacific dog friendly stay

If you own a pet, you’d know how tough it can be sometimes to work out who will care for them when you go away. Not to mention how far from ideal the pain is when leaving them — both on their end and yours.

While in the past, some accommodations did allow pets to stay, ever since COVID, the number of pet-friendly places has boomed. More people now own pets, who became lockdown companions, and more of those pets have attachment issues.

If you’re looking for a staycation in Sydney with your pet, or you’re travelling to the city and wanting them to stay, too, you’ll be spoilt for choice. From boutique stays in Surry Hills, to grand hotels in the city and along the Northern Beaches, these are some of the best accommodation in Sydney that’ll let you bring your pooch or feline overnight.

Kimpton Margot Sydney

There’s no additional charge, no deposit required and no size or weight limit for pets staying at Kimpton Margot Sydney. Just let staff know you’re bringing a pet ahead of time and you’ll get pet amenities in your room, a Spotify pet playlist and a concierge’s list of pet-friendly restaurants in the area.

It now features a rooftop pool, custom lobby scent and chic, coastal interiors by Coco Republic. And, in April 2023, five of its 213 rooms were designated to be pet-friendly. The ocean-facing rooms are equipped with a pet bed, water bowls and feature a 100sqm sun terrace your pooch will no doubt love playing on.
