For many, one of the best parts of a Bali trip is the chance to shop for great homewares. The Indonesian Island is known for its affordable yet well-crafted and design-forward home décor.
Although traveller-friendly Bali homewares shops used to be exclusively in Seminyak, they’ve since spread across the island. You’ll now find great homewares shops with English-speaking staff and fixed prices in Ubud, Canggu, and Uluwatu too.
Ahead, we’re sharing some of our favourites overall, from a Seminyak store run by a mother-daughter duo and selling everything from chandeliers to chopping boards, to a boutique housed in a Barbie-pink building in Uluwatu. These are where we suggest you stock up on homewares on your next trip to the Island of the Gods.
Cove Island Essentials
Cove Island Essentials is a concept store with locations in Berawa, near Canggu, within Seminyak’s W Hotel, and on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. The shops sell everything from linen napkins, tea towels, and aprons, to vases and small wooden stand mirrors you can use for a vanity. It aims to bring a slice of coastal living into your home.
Bungalow Living Home Store
Bungalow Living Home Store, Bungalow Living Gallery, and Giovanna Photography and Coffee House are located next to each other in Berawa, Canggu. The colours, textures and details of the homewares and furniture sold at the home store were inspired by the years the owner spent travelling as a photographer in India, Burma, Myanmar, Ethiopia, and France.
Kim Soo Home
Kim Soo is a homewares store and café, set in a once-decaying Dutch Colonial-style building in Seminayk. Both the store and café are run by a mother-daughter duo. Browse chandeliers, cushions, and chopping boards, all designed and made in Bali.
Canggu and Co. Homestore
As its name suggests, Canggu and Co Homestore is in Canggu. If you can’t make it to the store, though, you can order from the vast selection of homewares and furniture online and have your item delivered the same day. Highlights include rattan bedheads, ceramic display pots, and linen cushions with stitched designs and fringe.
Grounded Ubud
Grounded Ubud in Ubud sells plants, incense, scented oils, and homewares like handpainted ceramics and kitchenware, recycled batik rugs and locally-made scented candles. For every 500,000 IDR of sales, the shop plants a tree in Bali with reforestation experts.
The Find
Housed in a pink building in Uluwatu, The Find is a lifestyle boutique selling fashion, beauty, kids’ clothes and homewares. Highlight pieces include wave glasses, beaded napkin cuffs and sea sponge decorative vessel that you might use in a foyer to place your keys or other loose household items.
